Our Partners
Our organization operates in a three-legged stool through a shared initiative for collaborative stewardship with the US Forest Service and RLK and Company. We work to develop and maintain open and actionable partnerships with a variety of government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and local businesses.

US Forest Service
The American public owns Timberline Lodge and the US Forest Service is tasked with maintaining the historical integrity, artistic and educational value, and recreational uses of the Lodge and the surrounding area. We work in tandem with the Forest Service to determine and fund projects, train volunteers and give tours, and staff the information desk in the lower lobby.

RLK and Company
RLK and Company have operated the Lodge since 1955, when Richard L. Kohnstamm, a social worker from New York, saved the Lodge from being condemned, after years of mismanagement and poor maintenance. RLK operates the Lodge on a special use permit from the USFS and supports many of our conservation efforts with matching funds and in-kind donations.
