Our Archives
Take a visual tour through Timberline's history.
Started in 1975 with documents from the original builders, the Friends of Timberline Archives includes materials on the Lodge’s construction, furnishings, operations by R.L.K. and Company, Forest Service administration, and projects by Friends of Timberline. The Archives also house a large collection of early Lodge negatives and prints from 1936 to the present, many of which cannot be found elsewhere. Selected images are available online for public access. For historical inquiries, feel free to contact us, and our volunteers will assist you!

Photo Archive
Our collection includes photos of the construction and dedication ( 1935-1938) donated to Friends of Timberline, public relations photos from the date the Lodge opened until it was closed for World War II (1938 -1942), from the early days of the R.L.K. and Company operations (1955 to about 1960), and photos of Friends of Timberline activities from 1975 to the present. Images continue to be uploaded regularly.
