g) How do you feel about the current �Quonset Hut� winter entry at Timberline Lodge? How does it affect the historic qualities of this National Historic Landmark?
h) When compared with other additions and modifications that have occurred over time, do you believe that the proposed design as a temporary Winter entry affects the integrity of the Lodge�s design or workmanship in different ways? In what way?
i) The Secretary of Interior Standards recommends that new additions to historic structures be distinguishable in design from the original. Do you think the proposed Winter Entry, as a modern design set against a historic backdrop, is compatible with the setting of the Lodge or its association with the mountain?
j)  Within days of the Lodge first opening for business in February 1938, snow accumulation at the entrance was identified as a serious problem and the Forest Service suggested a �tunnel of some sort� be constructed. Actual tunnels through the snow and a variety of constructed structures have been used since. How successful do you think the proposed design meets the intent of the 1938 concept of a �tunnel of some sort�?
